The Board of the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQA) approves framework for registering private providers of post-compulsory education and training.

The framework, which was developed by Christine Marimba, Principal Quality Assurance Officer for Registration within the SQA, is the culmination of two years of research, drafting and continuous reviews.

“The challenge initially, was finding systems and fee structures comparable to what the National Qualifications Framework Regulations, 2025 prescribed,” explained Ms Marimba, who highlighted that the framework needed to be able to support new and established private providers at every step of their provider journey, whilst maintaining affordable fees.

A tiered fee structure, also developed by Ms Marimba, was approved by the Cabinet in January 2026.

Rollout of the framework will begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
